  • HH&M admits two new partners

    The Firm of Hamilton Harrison & Mathews is pleased to announce that effective 1st January 2016 we have admitted two new partners to the partnership. This brings the total number of partners at Hamilton Harrison & Mathews to 16.

    The new partners are:-

    1. Martha Mbugua – Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate Department
    2. Sigee Koech – Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate Department

    Martha Mbugua, Partner – Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate Department

    Martha has a wide range experience in advising on private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, project finance transactions, joint ventures, advisory on construction contracts and conducting transactional due diligence. Martha also has experience in conducting commercial law and legal due diligence training. She joined the firm in November 2014 from Coulson Harney Advocates and completed a three month secondment in 2013 at Bowman Gilfillan, South Africa where she gained experience in relation to setting up private equity funds and related investment advisory work. .

    Sigee Koech, Partner – Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate Department

    Sigee specializes in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity, real estate, environmental and planning, banking and project finance.

    Sigee completed her Masters in Law at the University Of Pittsburgh (USA) School of Law and later interned at H.J Heinz Company Corporate Counsel office at its World Headquarters in Pittsburgh where she obtained training and work experience in the office of the Corporate counsel to the management of Heinz on matters regarding competition law, employment law, sales and distribution matters including pricing policies and contracts.

  • Online application for Kenya Visas

    Pursuant to a directive published on the Department of Immigration’s website, all Kenyan visa applications will be made electronically with effect from 1st July 2015. Accordingly, from 1st July 2015, no visas shall be obtained at the point of entry into Kenya as has been the case before this directive. The Department of Immigration has published a step-by-step guideline on how the online applications shall be made. The guideline is available here and the online applications can be made here:  www.ecitizen.go.ke

    All foreign nationals coming to visit Kenya should be aware of this new requirement before making their travel arrangements to Kenya to avoid any inconveniences at the point of entry.
